How do I start a quiz session?
Open PartnerQuiz and tap "Start session." Enter the first partner's name. The first partner answers a round of questions on a 5-point scale. When prompted, pass the phone to the second partner. Enter their name. They answer the same questions without seeing the first partner's answers. Then look at the results together on the reveal screen.
What is the 6-character code on the session screen?
The code is reserved for a planned v1.1 cross-device sync feature. In v1.0, both partners use the same device — just pass the phone back and forth. You do not need to do anything with the code.
Can we use PartnerQuiz if we are not in the same place?
Not in v1.0. The app is designed for couples in the same room — you pass the phone back and forth. Cross-device play is planned for a future update.
How many questions are there?
PartnerQuiz includes 250+ questions across 5 categories: Values, Daily Life, Communication, Intimacy, and Future Plans. Each session draws a subset of questions per category.
Are the questions inclusive?
Yes. Every question uses neutral language — "my partner," "we," "our." There are no gendered pronouns and no assumptions about relationship structure, sexual orientation, or marital status. The questions are designed to work for any couple.
Is there a subscription or ongoing cost?
No. PartnerQuiz is $9.99 once, with no subscription, no in-app purchases, and no ads. All future updates are included at no extra cost.
Do my answers go to the cloud?
No. All answers and results are stored locally on your device only. There is no server, no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics. Nothing leaves your iPhone.
I bought the app but something is not working. What should I do?

Will there be more categories?
Yes. Finances and Family & Kids are planned for v1.1. Existing buyers receive all updates at no extra cost.
